Ceno is a modern, contemporary bar and restaurant located in Southampton, 15 minutes from West Quay shopping centre. We have been operating for 12 years and continue to go from strength to strength in an increasingly competitive area of the city, and are currently ranked within the top 15 restaurants in Southampton on Trip Advisor.

Our seasonal menu focuses on exciting cooking using local suppliers, and the Head Chef makes regular trips to Southampton markets to ensure we are always sourcing the highest quality ingredients; everything down to our ice creams are made in-house.

We pride ourselves on combining fine food and drink with a warm and relaxing atmosphere to create a contemporary dining experience for our guests. This is complimented by an enthusiastic, professional front of house team that strive to always deliver the highest standards of service and hospitality.

The role includes

  • Greeting customers
  • Table service
  • Serving drinks and food
  • Taking orders
  • Printing bills
  • Money processing

Currently, we are searching for an Apprentice Supervisor to join our team whilst completing their Apprenticeship at Highbury College. We are looking for an energetic, driven individual who is keen to progress in this exciting industry and further their career within an organisation that has long-term plans to expand across the south of the UK.

We are looking to employ an ambitious, hardworking individual who feels they have great potential in a leadership role, and possess excellent hospitality and service skills.
Due to our expansion plans, there is fantastic career development available after the completion of the Apprenticeship, with the potential rise to General Manager or even further!

Things to consider

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
